Dynavox two way intercomMar 02, 2011

Five star. I bought this two way intercom through Amazon. It is perfect for the small theater, church, or civic group. It will provide two way communication by voice, light, and/or chime between a control position and stage. It is installed using the two wire conductor provided, or by a dedicated R-5 telephone cable. Two power adaptors, 120 VAC TO 15 VDC, provide low voltage to both telephone handsets with a range of about 150 feet.
This unit, at less than $150.00 is a true value. It works well and even looks good.
Some notes: It is DC polarization sensitive. If you have no voice or signal recheck or reverse wire connections. If you must cut or splice wire make GOOD connections. Solder or crimpcaps recco--no wire nuts. Install the "Outdoor Unit" back stage. That gives you a light and/or chime signal for action. The chime feature can be disabled by disconnecting the internal speaker plug, or by putting an off/on switch in series with the speaker.
Initially there was a minor problem with one handset. Tim at ProQuest (dealer) provided help and an elegant solution with ONE phone call, I had the needed part the next day. This is a good company.
