These light bulb protectors are easy to install and they work. The metal cage is far more effective than plastic. Also, because the bottom is open a burnt out bulb can easily be changed. They are long enough to protect flourescent bulbs too. Price is right.

Reason I purchased this cage was to enhance the living room Torch lamp which I turned retro with the Bulbrite 134018 40W Nostalgic Edison Hairpin-style Bulb.
Extremely easy to attach, and it gives the set up a completed feel. Black compound coating over Brass/Steel which matches the lamp perfectly. Pleased with the end result so I'm purchasing a few more for the other lamps-cya white plastic shades!
