5Delicate for Dishes and SinksSep 17, 2009
By an honest reviewer
These plastic mesh scrubbers are great for cleaning messy dishes where there's stubborn remnants.
They are very gentle and great for cleaning porcelain sinks and bathtubs and figurines too without scratching. Until I have a stainless steel sink, these will do.
I even use them on fine china when I need to without worrying about the design fading away.
I wouldn't use them on any gold edges or decoration though.
This four pack lasts and lasts. It was a great buy.

5I CANNOT RUN A KITCHEN WITHOUT THESE THINGS.Aug 11, 2011
By D. Blankenship
Have you ever put the milk into the microwave rather than the refrigerator? Have you ever filled the open sugar bowl that was setting by your coffee cup with creamer rather than your coffee cup? Have you ever placed a container bowl of leftover stew into the pantry rather than the refrigerator? Have you ever placed a carton of milk under the sink with the cleaning stuff instead of the refrigerator?

Well I have. To be honest, I have been doing stuff like this all of my life so I cannot blame it on the fact that I am slowly sinking into my dotage. My family tells people that I get "distracted." I am pretty sure they talk about my absent mindedness behind my back. I keep forgetting to ask them about that.

What has this got to do with a review on a plastic mesh scrubber? Well, I will tell you. I just ordered another four pack of these things because three weeks ago I threw the last one away thinking it was a paper towel or something like that, or even a moose hoof for all I know. Yup, I just up and threw it in the trash which was put out and hauled off that night. Since these things are almost indestructible, that is the only reason I ever replace them. Every one of these things I have ever owned, and that has been a lot, has gone the same way. No big deal you say? Sorry, but I simply cannot run a kitchen without them. I have never been able to find a kitchen tool to replace them.

Why this particular brand? Because I have tried almost all of the others and most of them are simply hunks of junk that will unravel and fall a part within a week or so...that is why. This one though can stand the course. As I indicated above, these things are indestructible. Unless you stuff them down the disposal (Yup, I've done that too), they will last forever. (By the way...do NOT do this as you pretty well have to take the disposal a part to get the thing out...this is not fun thing to do).

I do all of the dishes in our household. I use these on pots, pans, plates, dishes, glasses and silverware. I also use them on all of our counter tops during clean-up. Use them to clean the top of our stove and I use them to clean out the oven during oven cleaning time. As a matter of fact, I had one in each bathroom (threw those away too), as they are great for cleaning bathtubs and showers...they scrub, scrub, scrub!

Now you can throw these things into the dishwasher and they get quite clean and the washer does not harm them. I completely clean and scrub down our kitchen counter top three times a day using a mixture of water and bleach. I use these to clean the tops. The mixture does not harm them. (Wish I could say the same for my hands).

Never once have these scrubbers left even the slightest scratch on any pot, pan, dish or glass and it sure has not scratched our counter tops or stove tops.

Between these scrubbers, a nice sponge and some paper towels there is very little in a kitchen that I cannot clean.

You pay a few more coins for these things but in the long run you save a bunch. Trust me on this one folks.

NOTE: This is an addition to the original review While I find this scrubber completely satisfactory my wife has asked me to point out that this thing is rather large and, for a scrubber, rather solid. I find this a good thing but she has a good point in that with her small hands she finds it difficult to use. The difficulty comes in that she cannot scrub into the small corners of dishes, pots and pans. This is something you might want to consider before purchasing. I still give this one five stars because I think it is great...but then I have rather larger and stronger hands than she does.

This is a good item but I thought I was ordering the old fashioned pot scrubber which is about half the size of these. My mistake, not the seller or the item.
