How did I live without it?Sep 26, 2009

I purchased this puller solely for the purpose of removing a seized brake rotor from my car. I first spent hours tapping, tugging, rocking, wedging, spraying with WD40 and employing all sorts finesse to no avail. I ordered this item (I have a 12" rotor and this was perfectly sized) hoping it would do the trick so I could avoid the embarrassment of having my car towed to a repair shop. This tool literally took 2 minutes to remove the rotor. When I went to the second rotor I didn't even bother to mess with anything else. I applied this puller, 5-10 turns, and pop. Definitely a worthwhile addition to the tool set.
The product itself is well made. I gave it four stars versus five because the bolt system that holds it all together is a little uncertain. It's safe and works fine, just wish the design allowed you to fully tighten the assembly rather than having to leave some indeterminate slack in order for it to work. The main screw that applies the pressure started off with a nice point to it but that flattened out after two uses. Shouldn't effect performance.
